Drone inspections

KWD Chartered Surveyors offer drone inspections. You can add this service to an RICS Home Survey or simply instruct and inspection of your property to gather information of a specific defect upon which we can provide a detailed defect report and advise upon repairs.

The old Permission for Commercial Operation (PFCO) Drone certification is being phased out at the end of 2020. This commercial operations Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Permission is being replaced with the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) under the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) from 2021 onwards.

KWD Chartered Surveyors hold a General Line of Visual Sight Certificate (GVC) in line with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements, which confirms compliance for operation in higher categories and within stringent safety procedures. The GVC certificate is the highest certification gained for operation of a drone in the UK.

KWD Chartered Surveyors drones are registered with the CAA under the Drone and Model Aircraft Registration Scheme and Education Service (DMARES) and we hold Flyer and Operator identifications.

Drones are perfect for inspecting areas usually inaccessible, weather and restriction compliant. This can provide a more comprehensive RICS Home Survey or Specific Defect report to help in making your decision on purchasing a property.
